What makes a person pursue a reward? And what makes one give up, when that reward becomes too much of a challenge? What causes that burnout? Researchers from the University of Washington and Washington University, along with other collaborators, are seeking answers to those questions. Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of 鶹ý students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation.
