Kent State Formally Introduces New Director of Athletics Randale L. Richmond
麻豆传媒 President Todd Diacon and Vice President for Student Affairs Lamar R. Hylton formally introduced Randale L. Richmond as the university鈥檚 new director of athletics at a morning virtual press conference held Thursday, April 15. Richmond currently serves as senior associate athletic director at Old Dominion University.

John Pippin, 鈥04, is a visionary entrepreneur with an affinity for his alma mater鈥攁nd a knack for pairing craft beers with donuts. After graduating with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in business, John entered corporate America. Ten years later, he and his wife Shelley decided to take a risk for love鈥攖he love of donuts, craft beer and Cleveland, that is. They opened Brewnuts in 2013, the first donut bar in the country serving craft beer-based donuts.

Honors College Student Studies Abandoned Mines in Cuyahoga Valley
Michael Back is a graduating senior Honors College student, majoring in biology with a concentration in organismal biology and a minor in Spanish. Originally from Sharon Center, Ohio, Michael has been interested in ecological restoration since he was in high school. Now in the final semester of his Senior Honors Thesis, Michael used his thesis to delve deeper into his ecological interests. His thesis analyzes a new restoration technique for abandoned surface mines in Cuyahoga Valley, examining 鈥渟oil bulk density and soil chemistry.鈥
