Kent State Youth Winds had the unique opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. this spring, giving meaningful performances alongside famous monuments and making lasting connections with renowned musicians.

 Once her degree is complete, junior Honors College nursing student Rylie Lapikas likely won't need to wait long to start her career. Ninety-nine percent of Kent State nursing students are employed within six months of graduation.

A Mantua woman who worked at Kent State in the Office of the President from 1951 to 1971 recently celebrated her 110th birthday. She recalls her time at Kent State and shares a few reflections from her long life.

The �鶹��ý Museum presents its summer exhibition titled “Sparkle: The Style and Jewelry of Aileen Mehle.” In honor of the �鶹��ý Museum’s 40th anniversary, this exhibition pays tribute to Aileen Mehle, a friend of the museum founders and widely syndicated society columnist. 

A group of school administrators from Brazil recently completed the 10-day Design Innovation Change Agent Workshop at �鶹��ý’s Design Innovation Hub, where they immersed themselves in design innovation techniques as they endeavor to innovate their school system at home.

Kent State Opera Theatre's spring production featured scenes from a selection of famous operas with themes both natural and supernatural. 

The �鶹��ý Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the Kent Campus.

Three friends who attended schools together their entire lives, beginning at Kent State’s Child Development Center, have graduated together in Kent State’s spring Class of 2025. Kent State's mascot, Flash the Golden Eagle, joined a group of other well-known local and national mascots to celebrate the 100th birthday of Goodyear's iconic blimps. 

Elisa Grecar and her daughter Maddie McGee made a meaningful memory this May when they graduated together from �鶹��ý – Grecar with a degree in psychology and McGee with a degree in zoology.

An innovative design, energy-efficient systems, water conservation technologies and environmentally responsible construction materials are some of the features that earned Crawford Hall, �鶹��ý’s newest – and largest – academic building, LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The skies are calling once again, and �鶹��ý’s Flying Flashes are answering, this time with their sights set on a fourth consecutive intercollegiate victory in the Areaseir Race Classic.
