The time you took to share your feedback (701 unique survey responses), and the tremendous consultation the Faculty Advisory Committees (FAC) and College Advisory Committees (CAC) did so thoroughly and carefully (more than 60 consultation documents), presented clear paths for opportunities to move forward. The U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, has awarded Â鶹´«Ã½ a grant to study the higher education system of the Central Asian nation and develop proposals for improvements.The $100,000 grant follows the October signing of an agreement between Kent State and the Turkmenistan Ministry of Education to explore the possibility of creating an educational partnership with several national institutes of higher learning there. By making several peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Honor Club students on the Kent State Salem helped answer a call for help from a local service organization. Kris Harrington, an associate lecturer of English, serves as the coordinator of the honors program and the honors committee chair at Kent State Salem.
