Lauren joined the Honors College in 2017 and is currently the Coordinator II of Advising in the Honors College at Kent State. With 13+ years of advising experience—including 7.5 years at Kent State’s Honors College—Theresa’s impact on students is undeniable. Recording of ethics presentation now available

In October, Susan Willeke of the Ohio Ethics Commission presented Ethics Training for Public University Employees to Kent State staff. Because the university is committed to reinforcing the importance of our ethical obligations as a public institution, the Office of General Counsel has made that recording available to anyone who was unable to attend. The Office of General Counsel is always available to answer any questions or concerns regarding ethical issues or dilemmas. 

2025 performance reviews open today

We are excited to launch the 2025 Performance Management Review Cycle for classified and unclassified employees. As you may recall, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ switched platforms this past fall from viDesktop to PageUp Performance. Performance management is intended to create an ongoing dialogue for supervisors and employees to review job duties, assess job performance, discuss career goals and more. The 2025 Performance Management Cycle will launch by end of day May 5, 2025, and run through July 31, 2025.

Kent State rode a dominant first half to defeat Western Michigan 73-66 Thursday night, securing their spot in the Mid-American Conference tournament semifinals.The Golden Flashes (22-10, 11-7 MAC) built a commanding 43-25 halftime lead and withstood a second-half rally from the Broncos (12-20, 9-9 MAC) at Rocket Arena in Cleveland.Marquis Barnett led Kent State with 18 points, while Jalen Sullinger and Cian Medley each contributed 13 points.
