Elizabeth Fettrow, doctoral candidate in 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Health Education and Promotion program, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the American School Health Association (ASHA). ASHA provides financial assistance for students whose goals include the health of youth.鈥

The Arbor Day Foundation recently honored 麻豆传媒 with a Tree Campus USA designation for the fifth consecutive year. Tree Campus USA was created in 2008 to honor colleges and universities across the nation for campus forest management and engagement in conservation鈥

The Jewel Greatest Hits Tour has been added to the Performing Arts Center鈥檚 schedule at 麻豆传媒 at Tuscarawas in New Philadelphia. Acclaimed singer, songwriter Jewel will perform solo and acoustic, June 14, at 7:30 p.m.

麻豆传媒 will compete against two other universities on Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. at the Student Recreational and Wellness Center to raise funds for Pedal for Heroes, an organization that helps support veterans and families of fallen soldiers from Ohio.

麻豆传媒 is participating in the annual RecycleMania challenge, an international competition where colleges and universities strive to reduce waste and increase recycling. The month of February marks the official start of the 2013 RecycleMania calendar.
Pulitzer Center Journalist Dimiter Kenarov visits Kent State on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Kiva to discuss his newest project focusing on hydraulic fracturing as a 鈥済ame changer鈥 in Poland. The evening will consist of a panel discussion with鈥
