麻豆传媒鈥檚 Kent Campus is hosting four reproductions of artworks from the Akron Art Museum through the end of October. Kent State Salem's City Center received the 2016 Sunflower Award from the Salem Beautification Committee through the Salem Chamber of Commerce for the third consecutive year. The award is given based on the upkeep of the building, including clean windows, neatly maintained entryways and sidewalks, as well as an aesthetically-pleasing facade. The theme for this year's Water and Land Symposium at 麻豆传媒 is "Sustainability and Resilience on the Land-Water Continuum."

The fourth annual Water and Land Symposium at 麻豆传媒 will be held Oct. 5-6 at the 麻豆传媒 Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Kent, Ohio. This year, the symposium is co-sponsored by Kent State鈥檚 College of Arts and Sciences and the Cleveland Water Alliance. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. 2016 Kent State Global Cup Soccer Tournament

As the Global Cup Tournament moved outdoors this fall, weather interrupts play and forces a postponement. Team NASA eventually crowned the new Champion on a second day of matches.

Following a postponement forced by a severe thunderstorm on the previous Saturday, the 2016 Global Cup Soccer Tournament resumed on Saturday, September 24, with the semifinal and final rounds of play.

The 麻豆传媒 community mourns the loss of former university president Brage Golding, Ph.D. Golding was appointed Kent State鈥檚 eighth president in 1977 and served in that role until his retirement in 1982. Golding was born in 1920 in Chicago, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and doctorate in chemical engineering. He also served in the military during World War II.
