On Friday, April 5th, TransHum and the Translation Graduate Student Program hosted Kaleidoscopic Translation Studies Conference. The annual Gregory M. Shreve Lecture Series in Translation Studies presented Dr. Richard Watts (University of Washington), who gave the keynote address titled “Translators, Interpreters, and Other Fixers in Cultural Texts of the ‘Linguacene’â€. The emerging student-artists of the B.A. studio art capstone course in the School of Art at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ announce the opening of their group exhibition "Chroma Concepts" at the Design Innovation (DI) Hub Gallery.The exhibition will open Monday, April 14 and run through Friday, April 25, 2025. The nationally and internationally ranked Âé¶¹´«Ã½ School of Fashion is thrilled to announce its acclaimed Annual Fashion Show will take place April 24-26, in Crawford Hall on the Kent Campus.The 2025 Annual Fashion Show features 161 looks from 41 designers whose collections and single-submission garments were chosen by a panel of industry critics and jurors for inclusion in this year’s show. Third-year graduate students in Kent State's School of Theatre and Dance Abbie Hagen and Amy Allyson Ballew showcased their costume designs in the Emerging Creatives display at the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) conference in Columbus this March.
