At the close of every academic year, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at Geauga honors a recent alum with the Early Career Achievement Award. This distinction honors a strong leader who shows continued potential in their chosen field, with commitment to the community and university.
Ohio Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel visited Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at Geauga on June 9 to tour its nursing program with President Todd Diacon and Geauga Dean Angela Spalsbury, Ph.D. Kent State Today was there when Tressel later took part in a roundtable discussion with Geauga County leaders and educators to share ideas on how best to prepare Ohio’s workforce.
Every year during commencement ceremonies, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at Geauga honors a dedicated supporter of this local institution of higher learning with the Friend of the Campus Award. On May 9, 2025, this distinction will go to Geauga County luminaries, Richard and Christie Frenchie.
This couple has made significant contributions to the entire community through a lifetime of leadership in local healthcare and higher education through a shared dedication to the Geauga region, values-driven career choices, service, volunteerism, and philanthropy.
