Biography
Tao Shen, Ph.D., joined in Âé¶¹´«Ã½ in Spring 2019. Before accepting the position at Âé¶¹´«Ã½, he worked as a postdoc in University of Alabama. He completed his Ph.D. degree at University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the field of robots for natural orifice transluminal endoscope surgery.
During his academic studies and research, he participated in several robotic projects, such as parallel robots, serial robots, robot on UAV, robotic vision, surgical robots, and walking assistant robots. Now his primary research interests focus on medical robots, including surgical robots and walking assistant robots.
Dr. Tao Shen is administrator of the Advanced Medical Robot Lab (AMRLab).
